About This Blog
I write about what it takes to build workplaces where people want to contribute because they feel seen, supported, and aligned with their company’s goals. I call it a “people-smart approach to workplace culture & comms” (but more simply, it’s human-centered workplace design.) This approach creates a ripple effect, fostering resilience, innovation, and a workplace culture that thrives.
Most workplaces are designed for human doings, not human beings, and it's taking a bigger toll than most realize. In the race for efficiency, leaders often tighten deadlines, squeeze resources, and make cuts. But too much of this approach ultimately backfires: it stifles creativity and weakens both culture and brand reputation.
AI and automation can improve workflows, but how they’re implemented matters. When companies adopt major changes (without tailoring to the human experience) the fallout can show up as disengagement, confusion, or quiet resistance.
But when organizations design work around people, their motivations, strengths, and challenges, engagement becomes a natural outcome, fueling business success, better customer experiences, and stronger communities.
This blog is deeply rooted in equity, dignity, and respect for human complexity. I write about work from the belief that no one should have to check parts of themselves at the door to feel safe, seen, or successful. That includes caregivers, chronically ill folks, queer folks, people of color, and anyone who’s been told they were “too much” or “not enough” for the workplace.
My hope is to offer tools, language, and insight for leaders who want to see and support the full humans on their teams.
About Me
I believe that human connection and the Golden Rule are what life is all about. My life’s work is in service of these things. When we truly see each other, as fellow humans worthy of dignity and respect, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish together.
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of communication, psychology, and workplace culture. I’ve led successful engagement and communication strategies on award-winning teams across tech, nonprofit, and philanthropy. I’ve advised C-suite leaders, helped organizations navigate change and crisis, and designed messaging that drives both connection and performance.
With a deep understanding of human motivation, I translate insight into strategy, creating employee experiences that reflect a real people-first culture, not just one in name. I help organizations cultivate more trust and alignment so they can move with more clarity, stay connected, and drive real results.
I believe words have the power to shape how people think, feel, and act. As a strategist, writer, and communicator, I’m lucky to do work that moves people and helps build healthier, more human workplaces in the process.

Subscription
All of my content is accessible without a paid subscription. My goal is to create an open, accessible space for anyone who cares about making work healthier, more human, and more fulfilling. You’re welcome to share anything here with your team, your boss, your group chat, or just a fellow curious mind.
That said, to keep this space safe and thoughtful, I’ve limited comments to voluntary paid subscribers. This small monthly fee deters bots, trolls, and performative noise so we can protect this space for deeper thinking, curiosity, and conversation about what work could be and how we get there.
If something resonates or sparks a question, I’d love to hear from you. Paid subscribers can comment, and anyone can send me a note here. Thanks for being here.
